Found in Imagination, November 2020

Two amazing things have now happened.

#1, I got out my oil paint to use.  For realz.

#2, I am posting on my blog!  Yay!

This year, I managed to complete all 31 days of Inktober in the theme I had chosen.  As a result, I felt like I was on a roll and wanted a similar but different project for November.  Jessica suggested that we do a project together involving...oil paint!!   And so we did.  We totally did.

So here I am to present to you my side of our November presentation, Found in Imagination.

Found in Imagination #1: Key on Mars

Found in Imagination #2: Phil, Sledding

Found in Imagination #3: Paper Hearts

Found in Imagination #4: Bottle Caps on the USS Enterprise

Found in Imagination #5 - Aquarium Gems at the River

Found in Imagination #6: Dragon Chess

Found in Imagination #7: German Shopping Cart Washer Balancing on the Tetons

Found in Imagination #8: Micro Machine at the Mall

Found in Imagination #9: Very Round Flat Rock in Weird Landscape

Found in Imagination #10: Type Writer Ribbon on the Moon

Here are all of my "found objects" that I used.  Not only are these "found objects" in the general sense, but each of these objects has a particular history in being "found" (sometimes over and over!).

Thank you, Jessica, for suggesting this project.  I don't like all of my results...and that's okay because they each explored something unique that I've been needing to do.  And just getting out my oils again was so blissful and wonderful.  I realized that doing 100% oil paintings is maybe not what I want to do be doing right now--but I so so sooooo want to use them in my mixed media.  I have been hesitant to do so simply because I haven't gotten them out seriously for so long.  This is just the kick I needed to get back in the oily swing.  So, thanks for the motivation and inspiration and support, as always, Jessica.  <3
